Participants in the neighborhood are linked to each other for social alarms (emergencies) and neighborhood residents with a background in health care function as a kind of ‘rear guard’. In this way, formal health care professionals are relieved, while social connections are enhanced. Care, meanwhile, becomes more affordable, faster ánd more personal.

Taking care of & with each other

Every (vulnerable) senior citizen is linked to two informal emergency contacts in the neighborhood. This is how local the ability for people to care for themselves with help of others in the neighborhood are initiated and activated. Next, the participants make arrangements with regards to informal alarm responses and access to residencies in case of emergency.

WhatsApp groups are made for all participants of the program, to facilitate interaction & communication, and further increase social connectedness.

Upscaling medical knowledge

Arrangements are made with informal care supporters in the neighborhood (volunteers with a background in health care) so that, in case of an emergency, the informal alarm follow-up can be upscaled using specific medical knowledge.

This way, medical questions always end up with the right person. Informal and formal caregivers are relieved through the organisation and mobilisation of informal neighborhood care, and via the GoLiveAssist application.

All emergency contacts and care supporters receive a GoLiveHealth-‘for each other & with each other’ certificate.
